Dear OANA members,
Happy New Year to all of you. I wish you all a prosperous 2025.
I am happy to inform you that we have finally concluded the last of our three medical missions to Okwelle.
It was a resounding success by the number of attendants from all corners of Okwelle and beyond. The medical mission could not have been possible without your moral and financial support. For that alone, I thank you very much.
In response to my vote of thanks, some members of the medical team appealed for continuity of the medical mission beyond my term of office. With the cost of health care going up the roof, the medical mission has become so popular that people look up to the event every year and with expectation to get a free medical check-up and drugs.
At this point, let me seize the opportunity to thank the medical mission committee under its able Chairman, Nze Chris Iriaka (Duru ejiagamba), for successfully conducting this project for three years in a row. I want to thank the following OANA members who have graciously attended and lent their support over the three year period of these activities.
First and foremost, our first Lady Chief, Mrs Ngozi Rose Iheaka, High Chief Luke, and Chief Mrs Harriet Ashamole. Also Chief Ike and LoLo Chinyere Ehie, Ugochukwu Dimel, Chief Goddy Uzowuru, Chief Robert Onyewuchi, and Lolo Hope Obidiegwu.
Thank you all for showing up when you were around and on the ground. If you have been to any of the medical missions and I mistakengly omitted your name, please accept my personal apology.
My prayer is for OANA to find a way to continue the program after the end of my tenure based on popular demand from the community.
Thank you all, and may God bless you.
Chief Iheaka.
President, OANA.
